2 adult beavers have built a dam across the Pohatcong Creek. The resulting flooding has defoliated the Creek bank. Additionally, the Creek is forming channels around the beaver dam. There are large amounts of silt building up as a result. The beavers have removed large amounts of trees from the Creek bank, which reduces the shading and results in higher water temperatures.

An aging single lane bridge is being removed, and the road widened over the Pohatcong Creek. There is extensive reduction of vegetation along the Creek bank. Insufficient silk fencing has allowed soils to enter the Creek and has caused a build up of silt. The removal of bushes and briars along the Creek has allowed geese easy access to the Pohatcong Creek.
